Our friends Sharon and Lisa decided to buy a second home in the North Georgia Mountains! We're lucky because they invited us to come, visit and stay at their cabin. The cabin is so nice and the view, oh the view, is so beautiful (see above)! We had a great Memorial Day weekend hanging out with them and our other friend Jeff.
The hike down to the river is well, a hike! It's woody, steep and uneven and for those of you who know me, you know that I'm not the most graceful person on the face of the earth. Luckily, Sharon and Lisa went the day before we did and cleared some trees so that it would be less treacherous for us all. They also put up a rope to use for leverage for the trip down and up.
Noah and I stayed on the bank and "fished" while the others made way to the BIG rock upstream. I'm glad we stayed ashore after watching the four of them struggle to get there and back!
The three of us now have river shoes and Noah is the proud owner of a life vest! We plan to get plenty of use out of them with future trips to the cabin!

It is a beautiful place. It did look colder in the pics.
