Noah loves water and has little fear when we're by a pool or the ocean. Last year we took a parent/child swim class in hopes of teaching water safety and learning the first techniques of swimming. The class was a success so we decided to do the same this year and hopefully move to the next class without a parent in the water. Noah learned to jump in the water and that it was okay go under although he made every effort to crane his neck back so that his face wouldn't go in the water.
Daniel and I both took turns being in the water with Noah. We love how confident Noah has become in knowing that he can learn to swim.
A little bit of almost independent swimming, we're close by for those just in case moments.
