Apple Picking

It's no secret that I love to cook, and to most, it's no secret that I love to make things from fruit or veggies we've picked.  As the awesome season of Fall arrives, we venture to the North Georgia Mountains to pick some of the best apples around.  There's usually two or three varieties to pick and five or six varieties to choose from in the store.  We pick/buy one that is good for both eating and cooking.

Last weekend while enjoying a weekend away at our friends' cabin, we visited our favorite, B.J. Reece Orchard, for a second time this Fall.  Everything here from the u-pick apples to the fried pie to the boiled peanuts to the apple cannons to the fried pies (trust me they're good) are to die for.  We have the best time at this orchard.  It's not too commerical or too small and like Goldilocks thought when she visited the three bears, it's just right.

Can you hit the target Aut?

Hayride fun!

Now I'm off to make some apple butter with the weeks fruit!
