We knew there was snow in the forecast for Christmas Day, but we didn't think the Metro Atlanta area would get that much so we didn't really monitor the weather too closely until Christmas Day. We played with what Santa left, had homemade cinnamon rolls and opened gifts before watching the news about noon. We soon learned that there would be snow overnight and some accumulation. We LOVE snow and hoped to see some, but we knew it would hinder our travel plans to South Carolina the day after Christmas. Around 2:30 we decided we should leave for South Carolina as soon as possible or delay our trip.
