We had a week/weekend full of outings, all leading up to Memorial Day. On Monday (before Memorial Day), we went to our friend Jeff's house for dessert. Jeff's parents, Gene and Joyce were visiting from South Carolina, so it was nice to visit with them. Joyce made a delicious Sundrop Cake accompanied by ice cream. There's nothing better than dessert! And, in my opinion, sometimes you should have dessert before dinner!
We worked the rest of the week, all the while looking forward to the long weekend ahead! To kick off the long weekend, we had dinner with Jeff at a mexican restaurant on Friday. We couldn't get reseverations for Saturday at an Italian restaurant, so we opted to go to our usual sushi place. On Sunday, we were able to get reservations at Maggiano's for dinner. The food was good at Maggiano's, but our service was less than desirable. There's no reason anyone should wait for a water glass to be filled up for 30+ minutes! On Monday, Amy and Greg, invited everyone to their house for a cookout. Greg made some FABULOUS grilled chicken sandwiches. We had other delicious side dishes as well, but for some reason, Jeff didn't make pico!
The weekend was great and as you can see, we enjoyed eating A LOT!! We hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!
