Noah had his 15 month well child check-up a week ago. He got two immunizations and then had some blood drawn. After the shots, he figured out any person that stepped into the room was going to stick him, which was true.
The doctor is concerned with his slow growth. He weight has progressed about the same since our last visit, but his height hasn't. At this visit he weighed 20 pounds and was 30 inches tall. She wants us to see an endocrinologist. Before we can make an appt. with an endocrinologist he has to have labs completed (those done the day of the well-check), another sweat test (to check for cystic fibrosis) and an x-ray of his hands (to look at bone growth). Once these are complete we can schedule an appointment. It may take several months to get scheduled with an endocrinologist. We had the sweat test done back on October, but they were unable to draw enough sweat to test. The labs done last week were for hormone levels and various other things, but all will be to look at growth.
We'll keep everyone updated as we do these tests and get the results. Hopefully, we'll find out that Noah is just small and isn't going to have drastic growth spurts like some kids do. In the meantime, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey A & D! I am so sorry you guys are having to wait through all of these tests. We will be thinking of you and praying for you guys daily! We had to go through some tests last summer with Whit (the sweat test) and the wait is definitely the worst! Keep the faith and please keep us updated!
