We have a tradition of visiting the North Georgia Mountains every fall. We usually rent a cabin for the weekend, go apple picking, play in the river and simply enjoy the beauty around us. We are lucky to have friends who recently purchased a cabin there and they often invite us to their cabin. This year, we kept with the tradition of celebrating mine and Sharon's birthday at a cabin. Some other friends joined us later on Saturday, but second on the morning's agenda was a visit to our favorite apple orchard, B.J. Reece. Yes, we have a favorite orchard. We enjoy the u-pick apples, shooting apples from cannons, visiting the petting zoo and eating some yummy fried apple pies. This year we tried their boiled peanuts which weren't too bad either.
