A Messy Kitchen

Oh how our boy is growing up! He likes to help Daddy in the yard and recently discovered he likes to cook with Mommy.

Here's a recent conversation:

Mommy: Noah what do you want for snack?

Noah: I want Mamaw cookies.

Mommy: We don't have any Mamaw cookies, pick something else.

Noah: Go to Mamaw's and get more Mamaw cookies!

Needless to say, it was nighttime and Noah was on his way to bed. I promised that I would make him some peanut butter cookies. The next day, I made good on my promise and Noah enjoyed helping make the cookies. For those of you who know how good Mamaw's cookies are, these were not as good. Noah liked them, but not like he likes the ones Mamaw makes!

After making cookies, I decided to make banana bread and asked Noah if he wanted to help some more. Of course he wanted to! I used my stand mixer to make the banana bread and allowed Noah to help turn it on when needed. I creamed the butter and sugar then added the flour. I told Noah to turn the mixer on just a little and his finger slipped and he turned the mixer on FULL BLAST! Did I mention, I had just added the flour!! The pictures say it all!

Noah thought he was in trouble when it happened, but I quickly told him it was okay. Daddy wanted to take some pictures, but clearly Noah didn't want his picture taken because he had flour in his eyes!
