KSU Easter Egg Hunt 2010

Noah is changing so quickly that it almost seems unreal. This year, we knew we wanted to take him to an Easter egg hunt. There's plenty around, but most are crowded and chaotic so we're told. After conferring with a few friends, taking Noah to the KSU Easter Egg Hunt seemed most fitting and it was!

Daniel was in California at a conference so just the two of us ventured to KSU's campus. I tried to prepare Noah by telling him that when they said go, he was to pick up as many eggs as he could. He listened well! He only took him a few seconds to realize what an egg hunt was about and picked up almost a basket full of eggs. Maybe it was because he and Elijah had an egg hunt rehearsal last weekend (see more pictures here). He didn't get one of the treasured golden eggs, he didn't know what a golden egg meant and Mommy didn't mind care that Noah didn't put one in his basket.

The rest of the morning included face painting, which Noah totally wanted to do. There was the Easter bunny. We had our picture made with him, but the picture was taken by KSU staff so we have to wait on them to send it to Daddy. There were two live bunnies to pet and hold. We were in line to pet them, then one got spooked and started hopping away. The excitement scared Noah a bit and he decided he didn't want to pet the bunnies.

And last, but not least there was a cake walk. I bought one ticket thinking it would be a nice experience especially since Noah had really been into Ring Around the Rosie lately. Never in a million years did I think Noah would win, but he did. He was so excited that he won a cake!
