18 Month Check Up

Where does the time go? Noah is one and a half years old! It's hard to believe that before we know it, we'll be celebrating his second birthday (yes, I've started planning). We are amazed at Noah's development. Noah now knows about 15 words. We're working on getting him to talk more when we're around other people, but he is still a bit on the shy side. His favorites are; pappy (pacifier), outside, more, Bo (our cat) and Dada. Noah's favorite toys are Thomas the Tank Engine and friends, tractors, trucks and most recently the laundry basket. He will dump a bunch of toys in the basket and then want to get in there with all of them!

We went for Noah's 18 month check-up on August 14, 2009. Noah weighed 21 pounds 9 ounces and was 31 1/4 inches tall. Noah's weight still lingers in the fifth percentile. As most of you know, we've had numerous tests conducted to check on his slow growth and everything has come back within normal range. We are scheduled to see an endocrinologist at the end of September. There we will get their opinion of why his growth seems to be slow. Noah also got four shots during his check-up. Noah clearly understands that if we don't walk out of the examination room after the doctor, that something bad is going to happen. It's so hard to watch him get shots!

We can't wait for what's to come and for the pure joy Noah brings to our lives daily! We love you Noah!

Noah is a joy! Glad you updated you Web site. On Noah speaking more around others, that will not happen it is a Roger male thing. Ride in the car with Jackie and Daniel and if you do not speak, no one will. Not everyone is as chatty as April and Dan! LOL
