July Fourth Festivities

The weekend began with a Patriotic parade at Noah's day care on Friday morning. All of the children walked around the playground. The Young Toddlers, Noah's class, found a seat on the edge of the playground. They were all so cute and amazingly patient!

On Saturday, we began the day at the Marietta Square for the Fourth of July parade. We camped along the roadside, getting the best seats possible. Noah began to get a bit impatient before the parade started. Luckily, our roadside seats were by a fountain and Noah was entertained by it during the wait. After the parade, we went and walked around the square and enjoyed lunch. By this time, it was naptime for Noah and we wanted him to rest up for our evening plans.

We spent the evening at Greg and Amy, Apple and Beta's house (I have to mention the dogs for Noah). We celebrated the 4th with nontraditional 4th food. We celebrated with what we call Fair Food Night. Basically, it's a night of nothing but fried food. The menu for the evening consisted of: fried pickles, fried green tomatoes, fried zucchini, empanadas, hummus, fried plantains, beignets and fried oreos. Several of our friends were out of town and missed some great food and company. I forgot my camera, so maybe Amy and Greg will have some pictures to share.
