First Snow!

When you live in the South, snow days are rare, but can be so much fun! And this past Sunday, we saw more snow that we've seen in a long while.

Earlier in the day, Noah and I ventured to the grocery store. No, not for bread and milk, but for the weekly grocery run. Noah wasn't sure what to make of the white stuff falling from the sky! He laughed, closed his eyes and told Mommy she had some in her hair.

When we returned home we took him outside just to see what his reaction would be in the little bit that was still on the ground. He wasn't too interested. He didn't want to touch it because it was too cold, but was a wee bit interested in the strange substance.

I admit I was so hoping for a snow day. I stayed up and watched the closings scroll across the bottom of the screen and got up the next morning to check and see if our county had been added to the list. Too bad the snow that fell all day on Sunday didn't stay around long enough for our county schools to close or for the Governor to close state offices. Folks all around us got snow too (some lots of it) and they were out of school, but not Cobb County. Not sure why they didn't close, although the roads were pretty clear on Monday morning.
