Sickness and Weight
For a week or so after Noah’s ear tubes went in, he was congestion and cough free. In the two months since, he’s not gone a day without voluminous snot. This leads to poor eating, poor sleeping, and snot stains everywhere. He also developed a bad cough in the past week, so we made a trip to the pediatrician to check out his lungs. Turns out he’s all clear, and of course, there’s nothing that can be done about his constant cycle of colds except to put him in a bubble when he goes to daycare. We’ll continue to wash hands and take vitamins, and we’re working to train Noah and using saline and the suction bulb all by himself – not really. The good news from the pediatrician was we’ve finally broken the 17 pound barrier, weighing in at 17 lb. 7 oz. It seems the goal of 20 lb. by the first birthday is out of reach, but 19 lb. is looking possible.
