I have to update everyone on how Noah is and then I promise I'll post Halloween pictures! We have gradually received the results of the labwork we had done last Tuesday and everything appears normal. Noah had a sweat test done to test for Cystic Fibrosis, but they were unable to collect enough sweat to do the test. The other tests, including food allergy testing came back with no findings. The only thing noted was that he is slightly anemic so we've started iron drops.
We do have to report that since the pediatricain increased his reflux medication that Noah's eating has increased. Noah is eating like we've never seen him eat! He will eat a jar of food at once, plus some small finger foods that we've started introducing. Noah is also taking all of his bottle, which before last Monday was something he would rarely do.
Today, we saw an gastroenterologist for the problems Noah was experiencing before increasing his medication. Oh yeah, he also weighed 16 pounds and 6 ounces. Could we reach 17 pounds soon? He agreed that the medicine seems to be helping. He told us to continue to watch him and gave suggestions on what else we can do. Right now, we're only going to try Maalox if needed. We have a prescrption for another drug we can use at night if the Maalox doesn't help.
For those of you that don't know, Noah is almost nine months old and has never slept through the night! He was only waking once a night and then he got sick with an ear infection and since then we've been up two, three and sometimes more a night! This Daddy and Mommy need a little rest!
Thanks for everyone's concern and continued thoughts and prayers!
