Sweet Baby

Once we decided to release the power of the pa, we learned that the sucking motion for feeding is different from that required to use a pa and keep it from flying out of your mouth. Noah has since adapted his sucking reflex and can discriminate between the two, but in the day or so prior to this, he found another way to ensure that pa did not become a projectile.

Noah often prefers to recline in your lap. Holding him in your arms seems to be a cue for either “time to eat,” which only one of use in the house can provide, or “time to sleep,” which is not a message Noah appreciates hearing.

Fussy, restless nights and peaceful, sleepy days are apparently what all the cool babies are doing. Noah is very into it. April wondered the other day whether swaddling him at night was only adding to his frustration, so we tried a hands-free swaddle. Judge the outcome for yourself.

He is a BEAUTIFUL baby! I'm glad he's doing the cool thing and keeping you guys on your toes at night.

I love his jaunty hat. He's so cute he belongs on a Gerber jar.

Geez... if that boy were any cuter, it'd be a crime! I am glad to see you gave in to the "power of the Pa" or "Pappy" as we lovingly called it. Now, just don't worry about getting rid of it before he's 4! We didn't! Actually, E would probably still use his if we'd let him!
